-Well, if you want to convert the no-HD video to HD, I should tell you, No, that's impossible. You cannot convert normal video to HD. Normal video doesn't have as much information in the image as HD, so if you try to expand the image to HD size, it will just get larger and blurrier. You need an HD camera to record true high-definition video.
HD isn't the same as aspect ratio. Traditional video has an aspect ratio of 4:3, whereas HD usually has an aspect ratio of 16:9, but these are not mandatory. You can have high definition at 4:3, and you can have low definition at 16:9.
If you change a 4:3 video to 16:9, either the image will be distorted horizontally, or it will have black bars on either side (pillarboxing). If you change a 16:9 video to 4:3, either it will be distorted horizontally, or it will have black bars on the top and bottom (letterboxing).
Anyway, most video editing programs let you convert between standard definition and high definition (subject to the limitations given above), and between 16:9 and 4:3.
Whats a normal video? what resolution is it in? Unless you crop the video you are going to end up with either a distorted video or bars on the top bottom, or left and right. what is the original video from , that can make a huge difference, quality is everything. just a simple video converter is not going to do it, the result is at best going to be bad. STD video resolution is fine as long as you keep it like that but once you start to enlarge it, everything starts to fall apart.
The quickest way to destroy the quality is to start to convert the video, people convert video to edit it, then another conversion to do something else then they upload it to youtube or put it onto DVD then convert it again, so the video has gone through numerous conversion before its actually watched.
If the video is perfect, no out of focus scenes, quality is very high then you may get away with it but I can assure you it will not be as good as the original. A video ( we don't know what resolution it is in at the moment) has so many lines, to create the HD effect it has to add lines (basically the software guesses) any imperfections will be multiplied, (both ways).
At the end of the day if you don't mind loosing some quality in the conversion ( defeats the object) then go for it. It does not matter what you do you CANNOT improve the quality of the original, you may be able to tweak it a little, but nothing that is going to give you HD quality from a STD def camera.
Sorry

you can convert it to HD 720P easy enough but you need to know a VGA quality or even good AVI video converted to MP4 HD 720P is going to lose a lot of quality or be tiled really badly when you view it. the only ones i have seen converted like that and didn't lose a lot of the quality are AVI 640X480 videos and even some of them the quality is lost depending on the camera.
hi,first I wanto to know waht is the normal video? If you do not have a clear definition, I suggest using video converting software. You can try tipard video converter. It supports a lot of normal formats such as
MPG, MPEG, MPEG 2, VOB, DAT, MP4, M4V, TS, RM, RMVB, WMV, ASF. Its output formats includes HD H.264, HD AVI, HD MPG, HD TS, HD WMV, HD MPEG 4. I think it can satisfy your need . You could use its free trial first.
Hey , hey , doubt, i do not think it's such a difficult thing since so many powerful video converters come out. You could just search what u want , and you could find a lot of , and most of them could give you a HD format after covnersion. so look for it !
Convert/Render it to an MP4 file.
