What are great cameras to shoot Movie Videos with? with a $500 -$1000 budget?

-I'm looking to shoot music videos for local artist, however i also need a camera that records good audio or can at least adapt to be able to connect a good quality Mic to it because i will shoot short films as well. My budget is $500-$1000 thanks!I believe that sony and panasonic make the best camcorders out there. If you need a good camcorder, choose either of them.

The Sony HDR CX360V

It offers full 1080p hd recording, with built-in flash memory and expandable via SDHC and Memory Stick Duo cards. It has stereo mics on the front, but it does offer a shoe mount on top for accessories such as a shotgun mic, if you don't want to use the 5.1 surround mics built-in to the camera. There is a mic and headphone jack so this is supported.



If you want a shotgun mic, I'd recommend either the Rode VideoMic or the Azden SMX-10. The Rode mic is widely used, and it works very well at picking up voices. The Azden is great for lower-budget users and works well too.
