Suggestions for a video camera?

-Hello right my life always has something funny or i just love my days out but i never have anything to show for it. so im asking for suggestions of decent video cameras that i can take on days out around london with mates and capture the moment but it will probably also come on holiday with me i would prefer a more modern one.
