I have a mini JVC mini dv and I got an important recording but the viewing is distorted can anything be done?

-I played it back after ages and the image is distorted on the right side you can see pixels.



I have rewinded to the start and forwarded to the end but no luck..

Can anything be done to fix the imagethis kind of problem is not caused by dirty heads. it is most certainly the result of edge damage from the tape getting creased at one time or another. the tape is ruined. it would be a good idea to have a tech inspect your camcorder to be sure it has not caused the problem and might ruin yet more tapes.
